Data sources the assistant can search

Kahubi connects to external research databases through the open Model Context Protocol (MCP). Connect a source once, then ask questions in plain language: the assistant searches it, quotes the reference codes and links, and you verify against the original.

Bring your own server

Any MCP server that speaks streamable HTTP can be added under Settings → Integrations → Data sources: paste the endpoint, test the connection, choose which tools the assistant may use. Institutions running their own archive or database servers can make them available to their researchers this way.

Only your questions are sent to a source, never your files. Results are treated as retrieved material and always cited with the source's own identifiers, so every claim can be checked against the original record.
