About Kahubi
We're building the workspace we wished existed during every literature review, interview study, and manuscript deadline.
Kahubi is built by Avidemic AB, a Swedish company in Gothenburg and the team behind Avidnote, a research platform used by researchers and graduate students worldwide. Years of building it taught us where research actually slows down: not in thinking, but in everything around it — hunting through PDFs, re-reading transcripts, wrestling with LaTeX, redoing the same searches.
Kahubi is our answer — a single, AI-first workspace where your library, manuscripts, datasets, and interviews live together, and an agent works across all of them under your direction. Our mission is to shorten the distance between a question and a well-grounded answer, measured in submitted manuscripts and analyses that take an afternoon instead of a month.
Same company, same values Avidnote users know: your data is yours, it is never used to train models, and there are no ads — just a tool you pay for, that works for you.

Built by people who do research
We have spent years building tools for academics with Avidnote. We know what a screening round, a revise-and-resubmit, and an interview coding session actually look like — and we build for that, not for a generic "knowledge worker".
Grounded, not generated
AI in research is only useful when it works from your sources. Kahubi’s agent reads your library, cites what it used, and writes in a style learned from your own publications — so the output starts where your work already is.
Honest about what AI can do
AI does not replace judgment, peer review, or methodology. It removes the mechanical work around them: searching, screening, transcribing, formatting, recomputing. That is the part we automate — you stay the researcher.
