About GDELT (global news coverage)
The GDELT Project monitors news media worldwide. Search recent articles with source, country and language metadata; chart when coverage of a topic spiked and how its tone shifted; break volume down by source language or country; and get tone histograms. Also searches US television news captions (2009–2024) from the Internet Archive. Suits media, communication, political-science and crisis research. Article search covers only the last three months.

Using GDELT in Kahubi
- Community server. An open-source server maintained by the MCP community. Kahubi tests it with live queries before listing it and health-checks it regularly.
- Beta. The server works, but answers can be slower and its tools may still change.
- Cited, checkable answers. Results are treated as retrieved material and cited with the source’s own identifiers, so you can open every record the answer relied on.
- Your files stay private. Only the search the assistant writes for your question is sent to GDELT.
