Advances in molecular pharmacology and an improved understanding of the mechanism of most diseases have created the need to specifically target the cells involved in the initiation and progression of diseases. This is especially true for most life-threatening diseases requiring therapeutic agents which have numerous side effects, thus requiring accurate tissue targeting to minimize systemic exposure. Recent drug delivery systems (DDS) are formulated using advanced technology to accelerate systemic drug delivery to the specific target site, maximizing therapeutic efficacy and minimizing off-target accumulation in the body. As a result, they play an important role in disease management and treatment. Recent DDS offer greater advantages when compared to conventional drug delivery systems due to their enhanced performance, automation, precision, and efficacy. They are made of nanomaterials or miniaturized devices with multifunctional components that are biocompatible, biodegradable, and have high viscoelasticity with an extended circulating half-life. This review, therefore, provides a…

Freshwater is a vital resource for both ecosystem health and human survival, and it is the natural resource that is the most extracted at the global level. Excessive freshwater consumption can be responsible for a scarcity in the circulation rate, which occurs when the freshwater demand exceeds its availability. Hence, water consumption needs to be optimised in all human activities, given the increasing freshwater scarcity due to climate changes and to the annual net increase in the human population of 81,000,000. Freshwater plays many important roles in daily life for example, agriculture is responsible for nearly 70% of that withdrawal volume, and it is therefore, the most water-intensive sector. This puts emphasis upon the urgent need of transitioning towards more sustainable agricultural and food-production/consumption systems. Water Footprint (WF) is increasingly playing a guiding role in that context. Indeed, it makes it possible to quantify water consumption and related environmental consequences. With the objective of contributing to enhancement of research and of supporting…

Numerous environmental contaminants significantly contribute to human disease, affecting climate change and public and individual health, resulting in increased mortality and morbidity. Because of the scarcity of information regarding pollution exposure from less developed nations with inadequate waste management, higher levels of poverty, and limited adoption of new technology, the relationship between pollutants and health effects needs to be investigated more. A similar situation is present in many developed countries, where solutions are only discovered after the harm has already been done and the necessity for safeguards has subsided. The connection between environmental toxins and health needs to be better understood due to difficulties in quantifying exposure levels and a lack of systematic monitoring. Different pollutants are to blame for both chronic and acute disorders. Additionally, research becomes challenging when disease problems are seen after prolonged exposure. This review aims to discuss the present understanding of the association between environmental toxins and…

A sensor can be called ideal or perfect if it is enriched with certain characteristics viz., superior detections range, high sensitivity, selectivity, resolution, reproducibility, repeatability, and response time with good flow. Recently, biosensors made of nanoparticles (NPs) have gained very high popularity due to their excellent applications in nearly all the fields of science and technology. The use of NPs in the biosensor is usually done to fill the gap between the converter and the bioreceptor, which is at the nanoscale. Simultaneously the uses of NPs and electrochemical techniques have led to the emergence of biosensors with high sensitivity and decomposition power. This review summarizes the development of biosensors made of NPssuch as noble metal NPs and metal oxide NPs, nanowires (NWs), nanorods (NRs), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), quantum dots (QDs), and dendrimers and their recent advancement in biosensing technology with the expansion of nanotechnology.

Water is one of the natural resource due balance if our planet and the life on it have to sustain and economic development to be expected in the future. The increase in population of the world and level of wealth of humans is expected to withdraw more freshwater. However, since water is already one of the limited resources, global per capital water available surely drops and water shortage happens. Pollution of ground and surface water by dissolved salts are increasing and exacerbating this water shortage situation. The sources of these dissolved salts (such as primary and secondary salinity-causing agents) are known to change the chemical constituent of water. Once contributing factors for water scarcity are identified, future man should work on it to overcome the challenge. This paper therefore began with global water resource information and indicated different levels of scarcity to give overall clues on the situation. Salinity description, its global status, causative factors and challenges were revised before possible recommendations were indicated as indispensable solution.

Microplastics, the microscopic plastics, are fragments of any type of plastic that are being produced today as plastic waste originating from anthropogenic activities. Such microplastics are discharged into the environment, and they enter back into the human body through different means. The microplastics spread in the environment due to environmental factors and the inherent properties of microplastics, such as density, hydrophobicity, and recalcitrance, and then eventually enter the water environment. In this study, to better understand the behavior of microplastics in the water environment, an extensive literature review was conducted on the occurrence of microplastics in aquatic environments categorized by seawater, wastewater, and freshwater. We summarized the abundance and distribution of microplastics in the water environment and studied the environmental factors affecting them in detail. In addition, focusing on the sampling and pretreatment processes that can limit the analysis results of microplastics, we discussed in depth the sampling methods, density separation, and…

Water scarcity has been a global challenge for many countries over the past decades, and as a result, reverse osmosis (RO) has emerged as a promising and cost-effective tool for water desalination and wastewater remediation. Currently, RO accounts for >65% of the worldwide desalination capacity; however, membrane fouling is a major issue in RO processes. Fouling reduces the membrane's lifespan and permeability, while also increases the operating pressure and chemical cleaning frequency. Overall, fouling reduces the quality and quantity of desalinated water, and thus hinders the sustainable application of RO membranes by disturbing its efficacy and economic aspects. Fouling arises from various physicochemical interactions between water pollutants and membrane materials leading to foulants' accumulation onto the membrane surfaces and/or inside the membrane pores. The current review illustrates the main types of particulates, organic, inorganic and biological foulants, along with the major factors affecting its formation and development. Moreover, the currently used monitoring methods,…

Foodborne pathogens are a major public health concern and have a significant economic impact globally. From harvesting to consumption stages, food is generally contaminated by viruses, parasites, and bacteria, which causes foodborne diseases such as hemorrhagic colitis, hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), typhoid, acute, gastroenteritis, diarrhea, and thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP). Hence, early detection of foodborne pathogenic microbes is essential to ensure a safe food supply and to prevent foodborne diseases. The identification of foodborne pathogens is associated with conventional (e.g., culture-based, biochemical test-based, immunological-based, and nucleic acid-based methods) and advances (e.g., hybridization-based, array-based, spectroscopy-based, and biosensor-based process) techniques. For industrial food applications, detection methods could meet parameters such as accuracy level, efficiency, quickness, specificity, sensitivity, and non-labor intensive. Gamification, defined as the integration of videogame components to promote a gameful experience, is increasingly being implemented in education with the aim of enhancing students' engagement and motivation. Accordingly, since 2010 it has constituted an area of growing interest for researchers and teachers. Following PRISMA 2020's methodology, a systematic review (SR) was conducted in November 2022 seeking to explore the influence of gamification strategies on students' motivation to learn. Having identified 548 articles, 40 studies were chosen based on the selection criteria set and analyzed to reveal that game elements such as points, badges and rankings are widely used to motivate students. From a theoretical perspective, gamification studies focus on the dichotomy of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The results suggest a positive influence of gamification strategies on students' motivation, although in the long run, such motivation can decline. Furthermore, the influence of a novelty effect and extrinsic rewards on motivation is identified, which can lead to greater…

Most worldwide policy frameworks, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, highlight soil as a key non-renewable natural resource which should be rigorously preserved to achieve long-term global sustainability. Although some soil is naturally enriched with heavy metals (HMs), a series of anthropogenic activities are known to contribute to their redistribution, which may entail potentially harmful environmental and/or human health effects if certain concentrations are exceeded. If this occurs, the implementation of rehabilitation strategies is highly recommended. Although there are many publications dealing with the elimination of HMs using different methodologies, most of those works have been done in laboratories and there are not many comprehensive reviews about the results obtained under field conditions. Throughout this review, we examine the different methodologies that have been used in real scenarios and, based on representative case studies, we present the evolution and outcomes of the remediation strategies applied in real soil-contamination events where…

However, research on the relationship between LST, Land Use Land Cover (LULC), and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) with topographic elements in the lower Himalayan region has not been done. Therefore, the present study explored the relationship between LST and NDVI, and LULC types with topographic elements in the lower Himalayan region of Pakistan. The study area was divided into North-South, West-East, North-West to South-East and North-East to South-East directions using ArcMap 3D analysis. The current study used Landsat 8 (OLI/TIRS) data from May 2021 for LULC and LST analysis in the study area. The LST data was obtained from the thermal band of Landsat 8 (TIRS), while the LULC of the study areas was classified using the Maximum Likelihood Classification (MLC) method utilizing Landsat 8 (OLI) data. TIRS collects data for two narrow spectral bands (B10 and B11) with spectral wavelength of 10.6 μm-12.51 μm in the thermal…

This study explores the connection between business strategies, ESG performance, and the probability of bankruptcy. Using a sample comprising 1970 U.S. firm-year observations from 2016 to 2020, this study adopts several techniques to achieve its goals, including the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) algorithm and additional analyses. The results demonstrate that a firm with a better cost leadership strategy has higher ESG performance. A sound cost leadership strategy and ESG performance negatively influence a firm's likelihood of financial distress. Using a mediating analysis model, we also find that financial and ESG performance mediate and mitigate the probability of experiencing financial distress through a cost leadership strategy, indicating that these are essential factors that cannot be ignored when mitigating bankruptcy probability. Financial performance also mediates and mitigates the probability of experiencing financial distress through the ESG path. This study adds to the existing body of knowledge by revealing the role of sound business…

Text-to-Image artificial intelligence (AI) recently saw a major breakthrough with the release of Dall-E and its open-source counterpart, Stable Diffusion. These programs allow anyone to create original visual art pieces by simply providing descriptions in natural language (prompts). Using a sample of 72,980 Stable Diffusion prompts, we propose a formalization of this new medium of art creation and assess its potential for teaching the history of art, aesthetics, and technique. Our findings indicate that text-to-Image AI has the potential to revolutionize the way art is taught, offering new, cost-effective possibilities for experimentation and expression. However, it also raises important questions about the ownership of artistic works. As more and more art is created using these programs, it will be crucial to establish new legal and economic models to protect the rights of artists.

The CO 2 trap mechanisms during carbon capture and storage (CCS) are classified into structural, residual, solution, and mineral traps. The latter is considered as the most permanent and stable storage mechanism as the injected CO 2 is stored in solid form by the carbon mineralization. In this study, the carbon mineralization process in geological CO 2 storage in basalt, sandstone, carbonate, and shale are reviewed. In addition, relevant studies related to the carbon mineralization mechanisms, and suggestions for future research directions are proposed. The carbon mineralization is defined as the conversion of CO 2 into stable carbon minerals by reacting with divalent cations such as Ca 2+ , Mg 2+ , or Fe 2+ . The process is mainly affected by rock types, temperature, fluid composition, injected CO 2 phase, competing reaction, and nucleation. Rock properties such as permeability, porosity, and rock strength can be altered by the carbon mineralization. Since changes of the properties are directly related to injectivity, storage capacity, and stability during the geological CO 2…

The use of gelatin and gelatin-blend polymers as environmentally safe polymers to synthesis electrospun nanofibers, has caused a revolution in the biomedical field. The development of efficient nanofibers has played a significant role in drug delivery, and for use in advanced scaffolds in regenerative medicine. Gelatin is an exceptional biopolymer, which is highly versatile, despite variations in the processing technology. The electrospinning process is an efficient technique for the manufacture of gelatin electrospun nanofibers (GNFs), as it is simple, efficient, and cost-effective. GNFs have higher porosity with large surface area and biocompatibility, despite that there are some drawbacks. These drawbacks include rapid degradation, poor mechanical strength, and complete dissolution, which limits the use of gelatin electrospun nanofibers in this form for biomedicine. Thus, these fibers need to be cross-linked, in order to control its solubility. This modification caused an improvement in the biological properties of GNFs, which made them suitable candidates for various biomedical…

Agricultural and industrial activities around the world lead to the production of large quantities of agro-industrial wastes (e.g., peels of cassava, pineapple, plantain, banana, and yam, as well as rice husks, rice bran , corn husks, corn cobs, palm kernel cake, soybean meal, wheat bran, etc.). These agro-industrial wastes are discarded indiscriminately, thereby polluting the environment and becoming hazardous to human and animal health. Solid-state fermentation (SSF), a microbial fermentation process, is a viable, efficient approach that transforms discarded agro-industrial wastes into a plethora of useful value-added bioproducts. There is growing interest in the application of SSF in valorizing agro-industrial wastes for the production of fermented, protein-rich animal feed within the livestock industry. SSF reduces anti-nutritional factors whose presence hinders the digestibility and bioavailability of nutrients in agro-industrial wastes. Thus, the application of SSF improves the nutrient contents and quality of valorized agro-industrial wastes as animal feed. Fermented animal…

In real scenes, due to the problems of low light and unsuitable views, the images often exhibit a variety of degradations, such as low contrast, color distortion, and noise. These degradations affect not only visual effects but also computer vision tasks. This paper focuses on the combination of traditional algorithms and machine learning algorithms in the field of image enhancement. The traditional methods, including their principles and improvements, are introduced from three categories: gray level transformation, histogram equalization, and Retinex methods. Machine learning based algorithms are not only divided into end-to-end learning and unpaired learning, but also concluded to decomposition-based learning and fusion based learning based on the applied image processing strategies. Finally, the involved methods are comprehensively compared by multiple image quality assessment methods, including mean square error, natural image quality evaluator, structural similarity, peak signal to noise ratio, etc.

Water is a critical component for humans to survive, especially in arid lands or areas where fresh water is scarce. Hence, desalination is an excellent way to effectuate the increasing water demand. Membrane distillation (MD) technology entails a membrane-based non-isothermal prominent process used in various applications, for instance, water treatment and desalination. It is operable at low temperature and pressure, from which the heat demand for the process can be sustainably sourced from renewable solar energy and waste heat. In MD, the water vapors are gone through the membrane's pores and condense at permeate side, rejecting dissolved salts and non-volatile substances. However, the efficacy of water and biofouling are the main challenges for MD due to the lack of appropriate and versatile membrane. Numerous researchers have explored different membrane composites to overcome the above-said issue, and attempt to develop efficient, elegant, and biofouling-resistant novel membranes for MD. This review article addresses the 21st-century water crises, desalination technologies,…

This paper demonstrates that determining adsorption capacity and affinity through data fitting of adsorption isotherms by nonlinear regression (NLR) is more accurate than linearized Langmuir equations. Linearization errors and the subjective choice of data points used to apply the linear regression analysis may deviate the fitted adsorption parameters (constants and adsorption capacities) from the expected values. The deviation magnitude increases for heterogeneous sorbents such as environmental particles and molecularly imprinted polymers, which adsorb by more than one sorption mechanism or adsorption sites of diverse chemical natures. For instance, Lineweaver-Burk linearization of isotherms simulated considering the presence of two adsorption sites (distinct adsorption energies) provides excellent linear regression fittings but for only one kind of adsorption site. Contrary, Scatchard and Eadie-Hoffsiee's equations indicate the presence of more than one kind of adsorption site, but if the difference between the adsorption constants is not significant, the choice of points used to…

In recent years, inorganic perovskite materials have attracted a lot of attention in the field of solar technology due to their exceptional structural, optical, and electronic properties. This study thoroughly investigated, using first-principles density-functional theory (FP-DFT), the impact of compressive and tensile strain on the structural, optical, and electrical properties of the inorganic cubic perovskite Sr 3 AsI 3 . The unstrained planar Sr 3 AsI 3 molecule exhibits a direct bandgap of 1.265 eV value at Γ point. The bandgap of the Sr 3 AsI 3 perovskite is lowered to 1.212 eV when the relativistic spin-orbital coupling (SOC) effect is subjected in the observations. In addition, the structure's bandgap exhibits a falling prevalence due to compressive strain and a slight rise due to tensile strain. The optical indicators such as dielectric functions, absorption coefficient, reflectivity, and electron loss function show that this component has a great ability to absorb in the visible range in accordance with band characteristics. When compressive strain is raised, it is…

In female mammals, the development and regulation of the reproductive system and non-reproductive system are significantly influenced by estrogens (oestrogens). In addition, lipid metabolism is another physiological role of estrogens. Estrogens act through different types of receptors to introduce signals to the target cell by affecting many estrogen response elements. Breast cancer is considered mostly a hormone-dependent disease. Approximately 70% of breast cancers express progesterone receptors and/or estrogen receptors, and they are a good marker for cancer prognosis. This review will discuss estrogen metabolism and the interaction of estrogen metabolites with breast cancer. The carcinogenic role of estrogen is discussed in light of both conventional and atypical cancers susceptible to hormones, such as prostate, endometrial, and lung cancer, as we examine how estrogen contributes to the formation and activation of breast cancer. In addition, this review will discuss other factors that can be associated with estrogen-driven breast cancer.

This study evaluated the properties of banana pseudo-stem (BPS) biochar derived from two different types of pyrolysis. The fast pyrolysis experiment was performed using a worktable-scale fluidized-bed reactor, while a bench-scale fixed-bed reactor was used in the slow pyrolysis experiment. The preliminary analysis shows that the feedstock contains 80.6 db wt% of volatile matter, 12.5 db wt% of ash and 33.6% of carbon content. Biochar yield reduces as the pyrolysis temperature elevates for both pyrolysis experiments. Fast pyrolysis yields a higher percentage of biochar (40.3%) than biochar yield obtained from the slow pyrolysis experiment (34.9 wt%) at a similar temperature of 500 °C. The evaluation of biochar derived at 500 °C shows that the biochar obtained from the slow pyrolysis process has higher carbon content, heating value, and surface area with lower ash content. Meanwhile, FESEM images show significant differences in surface morphology and the number of pores for biochar derived from fast and slow pyrolysis. These findings indicate the potential and suitability of BPS…

However, by increasing Ni content in the cathode materials, the materials suffer from poor cycle ability, rate capability and thermal stability. Therefore, this review article focuses on recent advances in the controlled synthesis of lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC). This work highlights the advantages and challenges associated with each synthesis method that has been used to produce Ni-rich materials. The crystallography and morphology obtained are discussed, as the performance of LIBs is highly dependent on these properties. To address the drawbacks of Ni-rich cathode materials, certain modifications such as ion doping, and surface coating have been pursued. The correlation between the synthesized and modified NMC materials with their electrochemical performances is summarized.…

The high efficiency and low cost of production of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) based on organic-inorganic halides have attracted the attention of researchers. However, due to the intricacy in the synthesis of Spiro-OMeTAD and the high cost of gold (Au) utilized as the back contact (BC), have affected its viability for commercialization. In this present study, a simulation was performed with and without HTM utilizing different metal contacts (Ag, Cr, Cu, Au, Ni and Pt). SCAPS-1D, a software program in one dimension, was used to conduct the simulation. A systematic analysis was done to determine how the metal back contact's work functions affected the PSC both with and without HTM. The outcomes demonstrate that the PSCs' photovoltaic performance is significantly influenced by the metal contact's work function ( W F ). The best metal contact for HTM and HTM-free devices was Pt, with a metal work function of 5.65 eV. The initial power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) for the two configurations were 26.229% for HTM-free and 25.608% for HTM-based device. A number of parameters, including…

Arsenic is a priority contaminant that enters drinking water through both natural and man-made processes, posing a risk to human health and leading to the development of a variety of illnesses. Since millions of people are exposed to drinking water with a concentration of this pollution that is higher than allowed levels, its removal has become a crucial issue, and this removal is accomplished using a variety of techniques. In this study, the removal of arsenic using two membrane processes-nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) has been specially investigated in light of the outstanding removal efficiency of arsenic through membrane processes. Arsenic in drinking water must be removed using the right techniques to comply with world health organization (WHO) guidelines. According to the findings of several studies, NF membranes can remove significant amounts of heavy metals, such as arsenic, at low pressures while still producing high-quality water, which lowers operating costs. RO membranes are regarded as yet another efficient membrane technology for eliminating both types of…

Inflammation is a complicated physiological process that results in a variety of disorders. Several inflammatory mediators are produced during this process, which is responsible for long-term inflammatory conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, cancer, and neurological disorders. Inflammatory mediators are produced by an arachidonic acid pathway that gives us several anti-inflammatory targets. The most commonly used medications are NSAIDs to treat inflammation by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase enzymes (5-LOX). However, this therapy is associated with adverse events like gastrointestinal disorders, renal failure, etc., limiting its use. Therefore, novel, efficacious, and safer anti-inflammatory agents are prerequisites for inhibiting both cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase pathways. Though several synthetic analogs are under development, natural products may act as a potential source to identify novel molecules and herbal remedies. Valuable contributions have been made in this direction by the scientific communities. This review article briefly…

Double network sodium alginate/chitosan hydrogels were prepared using calcium chloride (CaCl 2 ) and glutaraldehyde as the crosslinking agents by the ionotropic interaction method for controlled metronidazole release. The effect of polymer ratios and CaCl 2 amount is investigated by the developing porosity, gel fraction, and extent of swelling in simulated physiological fluids. Interaction between the polymers with the formation of crosslinked structures, good stability, phase nature, and morphology of the hydrogels is revealed by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy. A sodium alginate/chitosan hydrogel (weight ratio of 75:25) crosslinked with two percent CaCl 2 is chosen for the in-situ loading of 200 mg of metronidazole. The drug release kinetics using different models show that the best-fit Korsmeyer-Peppas model suggests metronidazole release from the matrix follows diffusion and swelling-controlled time-dependent non-Fickian transport related to hydrogel erosion. The core of carbon neutrality is the energy structure adjustment and economic structure transformation. Hydrogen energy, as a kind of clean energy with great potential, has provided important support for the implementation of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals of China. How to achieve the large-range, safe, and reliable transportation of hydrogen energy with good economic benefits remains the key to limiting the development of hydrogen energy. Using the existing natural gas pipeline network can save many infrastructure construction costs to transport hydrogen-blended natural gas. However, due to great differences in the physical and chemical properties of hydrogen and natural gas, the transportation of hydrogen-blended natural gas will bring safety risks to the pipeline network operation to a certain extent. In this paper, the influences of pipeline transportation of hydrogen-blended natural gas on existing pipelines and parts along the pipelines are analyzed from two aspects of pipe compatibility and hydrogen blending ratio, and the safety of pipeline transportation of…

Laccase is a multi-copper enzyme widely expressed in fungi, higher plants, and bacteria which facilitates the direct reduction of molecular oxygen to water (without hydrogen peroxide production) accompanied by the oxidation of an electron donor. Laccase has attracted attention in biotechnological applications due to its non-specificity and use of molecular oxygen as secondary substrate. This review discusses different applications of laccase in various sectors of food, paper and pulp, waste water treatment, pharmaceuticals, sensors, and fuel cells. Despite the many advantages of laccase, challenges such as high cost due to its non-reusability, instability in harsh environmental conditions, and proteolysis are often encountered in its application. One of the approaches used to minimize these challenges is immobilization. The various methods used to immobilize laccase and the different supports used are further extensively discussed in this review.

Hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1), a heterodimeric transcription factor composed of the α and β subunits, regulates cellular adaptive responses to hypoxia. Macrophages, which are derived from monocytes, function as antigen-presenting cells that activate various immune responses. HIF-1α regulates the immune response, viability, migration, phenotypic plasticity, and metabolism of macrophages. Specifically, macrophage-derived HIF-1α can prevent excessive pro-inflammatory responses by attenuating the transcriptional activity of nuclear factor-kappa B in vivo and in vitro . HIF-1α modulates macrophage migration by inducing the release of various chemokines and providing necessary energy. HIF-1α promotes macrophage M1 polarization by targeting glucose metabolism. Additionally, HIF-1α induces the upregulation of glycolysis-related enzymes and intermediates of the tricarboxylic acid cycle and pentose phosphate pathway. HIF-1α promotes macrophage apoptosis, necroptosis and reduces autophagy. The current review highlights the mechanisms associated with the regulation of HIF-1α stabilization…

The focus of this paper revolves around the examination of flow of ternary hybrid nanofluid, specifically the Al 2 O 3 –Cu-CNT /water mixture, with buoyancy effect, across three distinct geometries: a wedge, a flat plate, and a cone. The study takes into account the presence of quadratic thermal radiation and heat source/sink of non-uniform nature. To develop the model, the Cattaneo–Christov theory is utilized. The equations governing the flow are solved by applying similarity transformations and employing the "bvp4c function in MATLAB" for numerical analysis and solution. Conventional methods for conducting parametric studies often face challenges in producing significant conclusions owing to the inherent complex form of the model and the method involved. To address the aforementioned issue, this paper explores the potential of machine learning methods to foresee the conduct of the flow characterized by multiple interconnected parameters. By utilizing simulated data, an artificial neural network is trained using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm to learn and comprehend the…

The research incorporates the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model to study the heat transfer process. The utilization of the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux approach becomes relevant in scenarios involving materials with high thermal conductivity or during short time intervals. Consequently, the current investigation holds significant importance. It is assumed that the viscosity of the Maxwell fluid changes exponentially as the temperature changes. The modeling of the physical phenomena being investigated takes into account the effects of a magnetic field, thermal radiation, velocity, and thermal slip conditions. In this study, the viscous dissipation phenomenon is taken into account because it can have notable impacts on the temperature and viscosity of the fluid, and is known to play a crucial role in fluid flow phenomena. The equations developed to model fluid flow are transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations…
