Around the world, the pollution water sources are continuously augmented because of several reasons. The discharge of many types of wastewater into the water sources, the continuous changes in wastewater characteristics, and climate changes are some examples of these reasons. This crisis led to stricter international standards requirements for the effluent quality from wastewater treatment plants. Therefore, it becomes difficult to achieve an effective wastewater treatment process in terms of performance and cost. One of the most efficient and less costly wastewater treatment units is the sequencing batch reactor (SBR) unit. The present paper discusses the treatment of wastewater using (SBR) and provides the reader with the core information cited about this technique. It is essential to have information on the pollutant removal mechanism to increase our understanding of the mentioned process under different operating conditions. As observed, SBR systems are an active and reliable mechanism for the biological removal of many pollutants types from wastewater under several operational…

Electrochemical methods are frequently used to get rid of a wide range of pollutants and wastewaters generated by domestic and industrial operations. Through an evaluation of current articles published in the previous few years, this study seeks to present the reader with an overview look at the Electrocoagulation (EC) technique (2000-2021). The EC mechanism, factors influencing the EC process, design considerations, and application in diverse industrial effluents including heavy metals, are discussed in this work. The main findings demonstrated that EC technology is a preferred technique for treating toxic metals containing wastewater because of various advantages such as cost-effectiveness, low sludge generation, high efficiency, and environmental friendliness. The variables impacting removal efficacy, such as applied voltage or current, electrolysis time, pH, type of electrolyte, initial contaminant concentration, electrodes, and energy consumption, are also summarized in this paper.

Critical thinking is the main ability to compete. This skill is not obtained just like that but needs to be continuously honed and trained. This study aims to analyze the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), combine research results to provide an in-depth picture and explore the use of Multimedia as a medium for improving critical thinking skills. From the research, it is concluded that Multimedia is a proven tool that can be put to use in order to make things better of Critical Thinking and has been tested in many cases of education level and various student conditions. This analysis is carried out through searching and taking reference sources from 2016 – 2021. Many types of Multimedia can be used to improve Critical Thinking abilities under students’ characteristics. It also needs to be adjusted between technological developments, learning Multimedia materials, and learning models. This article provides an overview of how learning Multimedia can help improve critical thinking, such as what aspects and components must be present and how to present learning materials contained in…

The cohort is every article, review and book chapter OpenAlex attributes to AIP conference proceedings with publication year 2023, excluding retracted works and paratext such as editorials and errata. The top 10 by citation count are listed; the percentile is the rank divided by the cohort size. 3 of the 10 entries have an abstract in OpenAlex. Counts were read on 29 October 2026 and will not be updated on this page, so a quoted rank stays verifiable. Full rules on the methodology page.
