About the conference
INTERSPEECH is the largest conference on speech science and technology: recognition, synthesis, speaker and language ID, paralinguistics, and spoken dialogue — spanning engineering and phonetics communities that meet almost nowhere else. ICASSP is the broader signal-processing sibling.
Papers (the field’s characteristic 4-pagers plus references) are typically due around March for the late-summer conference. Special sessions and challenges — with shared datasets and leaderboards — are a distinctive on-ramp for new groups.
